Local Welfare Automation Solution session in collaboration with Trafford Council

Wednesday 1st December (10:00 - 10:50)

Joined by Trafford Council, IEG4 is hosting a 50-minute session where Jane Lamb, Digital Project Manager, will share insight on the collaborative project and their progress and experience in ensuring help gets through to people when they need it most.

Trafford Council’s local welfare assistance scheme, ‘Trafford Assist’ is the lifeline for their citizens in crisis to reach out to the council and apply for help and support of food, utilities, essential travel expenses, and white goods.

Getting help to those who need it the most was paramount when Trafford Council approached us to support them as they looked to streamline and automate their existing service which was admin heavy and involved human intervention in the re-keying of data and decision making.

Utilising IEG4’s knowledge in achieving automation at scale, and working together with Trafford, the next generation Local Welfare Automation solution was created that can:

  • automatically limit addresses to those in a given council
  • integrate into your back-office benefit system to determine eligibility
  • validate a person’s bank account in real-time to ensure BACS payments are made accurately
  • automatically notify the applicant if they are ineligible
  • automatically send personalised decision notifications via email on form submission
  • automatically send notifications to contractors to deliver furniture/white goods etc
  • automatically generate notifications to other internal sources where appropriate
  • automatically generate a tried and tested BACS file to enable payments to be made
  • provide data reports, exportable into CSV

At the end of the session, there will be a Q&A session. Run through MS Teams, the sessions will be on Wednesday 1st December.
