Transforming Citizen Engagement with low code solutions

Join Newcastle City Council and IEG4 at St. James' Park on Friday 15th October 2021

Newcastle City Council went live with IEG4’s OneVu citizen engagement platform in October last year.

Citizens can self-serve and track service requests 24/7, and retrieve personalised data from back-office solutions in real-time. As of August 2021, >15,000 online accounts have been created with 35% being personalised.

As a result, the council is proactively avoiding unnecessary contact, reducing workload duplication, and putting Newcastle’s #CitizensFirst.

Implementation was done entirely remotely and without the need for IT support, which gave Newcastle’s Exchequer Services team greater control in getting the low code solution live and the opportunity to further accelerate their digital transformation.

On Friday 15th October (10:00 – 13:00) at the prestigious home of ‘The Magpies’ (St. James’ Park - Newcastle United’s Football Ground),  Jayne Henderson, Service Manager Revenues, Benefits & Exchequer, and Andrew Culpin, Service Improvement Lead will share their insight on the collaborative project, their progress, go-live experiences in transforming digital citizen engagement with a low code solution and plans for the future. We’d be delighted if you, or your colleagues, could join us.

In addition to hearing from Jayne and Andrew, you’ll also see how:

  • You can maximise take-up/engagement across the generations with SMS-based sign-up and SMS/WhatsApp/Facebook notifications
  • You can rapidly deliver modern, digital council tax, benefits, business rates, housing, licensing and waste services that you can improve/update over time, and provide automation to help with changes in workforce
  • You can empower carers/family to manage the affairs of those they look after digitally; crucial in an age where everything is virtual
